The Process
Your first few appointments are a consultation. It is an opportunity for you to get a sense of what therapy with Temima will be like and decide if you feel comfortable continuing. It is also where she will begin to get to know you, the reasons you have decided to begin therapy, and assess your needs. Based on these conversations, Temima will give you my impressions and we will then develop goals as well as a plan of what our work will include to get there. At this point therapy will begin.
Sessions are 45-60 minutes long and will take place once or twice per week depending on need.
HIPAA
Insurance
Head and Heart Therapy is an out-of-network provider, but we will work you regarding payment. For many plans that have out-of-network benefits, Head and Heart Therapy is able to submit claims to the insurance and limit your out-of-pocket costs so that they are not much more than a copay. Examples of such plans are Horizon NJ Direct 10 and Horizon NJ Direct 15. Please speak directly with Temima Danzig, LCSW to see if this is an option.
Where that is not a viable option, Head and Heart Therapy is happy to provide you with statements to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
We recommend checking with your insurance company to determine the extent of your out-of-network mental/behavioral health benefits, including your annual deductible, insurance company reimbursement rate, the number of sessions covered per calendar year, and whether sessions require prior authorization by the insurance company for coverage.
Temima Danzig, LCSW participates with Medicare.
She is also an in-network provider with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ PPO plans.
Confidentiality & Privacy
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Exceptions include:
Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
Payment & Fees
Private Pay Consultation and Psychotherapy:
Individual:
$200/ 45-minute session.
$250/60-minute session.
Couples/ Family:
$275/ 45 minute session.
Head and Heart Therapy accepts cash, check or credit card. Payment is expected at each session.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide 24 hours notice of a cancellation. Missed sessions will be billed if appropriate notice is not given.
